Terms & Conditions

1. No purchase is necessary to participate in this Global Photo Challenge.
2. The closing date for entries is 19th October 2007.
3. Entrants must be based in USA, 18 years old or over at the time of entry and must provide a valid email address. Proof of age and eligibility will be required to claim a prize. Only five photos will be accepted per person and per email address.
4. This Photo Challenge is open to anyone other than employees, agents, contractors and consultants (including in each case their families) of Metro International and its affiliates.
5. During the week commencing 2nd November Metro International in USA will determine the 5 winning photos. 2 will be chosen by the voting public. 3 will be chosen by a jury panel.
6. Winners will be notified by e-mail by 7 November. Winners will go through to the second round of the competition.
7. Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Metro reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.
8. In the event of non-acceptance of a prize by 12th November, Metro reserves the right to reallocate the prize awarded to the next randomly drawn valid entry until the prizes are claimed.
9. The decision by Metro shall be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into. The names of the winners are available on request to lauren.berkemeyer@metro.us after 7 November.
10. Winners may be requested to take part in promotional activity and Metro reserves the right to publish the names of the winners.
11. Metro complies with applicable data protection laws when collecting and processing personal data. For details, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
12. By entering this free prize draw, entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions, and to have agreed to be bound by them. USA law applies.
By submitting a photograph the submitter attests to the following: 13. Entries will only be accepted as images (color or black and white) that have not been digitally manipulated as to add or subtract from the original capture.
14. The photographer must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of all entries.
15. All entries are submitted at the photographer’s own risk and the organizers regret that they cannot accept liability for any loss, delay or damage occurring to any pictures entered in the competition.
16. By submitting your entry to the competition, you give Metro the right to reproduce, exhibit, print, or use in any form the entry for the course of one year from the date of the competition close.
17. Metro reserved the right to edit and crop submitted entries
18. Each photo must taken within or close to the proximatey of New York, Boston or Philadelphia
19. Photos must be taken within the last 2 years
20. Photos must not be digitally manipulated as to artificially ad or subtract from the original image
